ActualMeds, an East Hartford, CT-based health care information technology company, received $400k in funding.
Connecticut Innovations (CI) and Vineyard Point Associates provided $200k each.
The company intends to use the funds to support technology, development, certification and patent costs.
Led by Patricia Meisner, CEO, ActualMeds provides web-based platforms to facilitate patient data collection and automate coordination of care for medication management in patients with chronic diseases.
The company had received an initial investment of $150k from CI in September, 2011.
