YuppTV Raised $2.5M

yupptvYuppTV, an Atlanta, GA-based Internet TV provider that gives access to Indian content, raised $2.5M (approx. Rs. 16 crores) in funding.

Sashi Reddi, the founder and managing partner of SRI Capital, a Rs. 100 crores VC fund in India, made the investment and acquired a 10% stake in the company. He will join YuppTV’s board.

Led by Uday Reddy, CEO, YuppTV provides users with access to 170 live Indian TV channels. Available via PC, iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Smart TVs Blue Ray Players and gaming consoles, the company target Indians living people in North America, Europe, and Australia. It also has offices in Hyderabad, India and has around 140 employees.

YuppTV had revenues of $11M (approx. Rs. 70 crores) in 2013 growing over 100% year-on-year for the last two years.
