TruVitals, a Gainesville, Florida-based developer of technology that enables remote, stationary and portable monitoring of heartbeat and respiration in humans and animals, received funding from The Institute for Commercialization of Public Research.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Led by Bob Herbolich, CEO, TruVitals provides a sensor system that continuously monitors human and animal vital signs with no sensors attached or used to detect heartbeat, respiration, and movement such as from coughing or shaking.
Vital signs associated with pain and stress can be detected in real-time such as in post-op and recovery, or during the onset of illness or when injury is about to occur.
The company is located at the Florida Innovation Hub in Gainesville.
