The Hunt, a San Francisco, CA-based online shopping platform that makes photos shoppable, raised $10m in Series B funding.
Backers included Khosla Ventures and Javelin Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Ben Ling, Investment Partner at Khosla Ventures, will join The Hunt’s board.
The round, which followed a recent $5.5m Series A funding (read here), brought total funding to $15.5m.
The company intends to use the funds to hire new people.
Founded in 2011 by Tim Weingarten and Simon Peck and launched in January 2013, The Hunt is a global community of shoppers that combines visual web with intent and purchase on e-commerce sites by making photos “shoppable”. Over half a million monthly active users and 100,000 daily active users on mobile use The Hunt.
