Placester Raises $5.5M in Series A Financing

Placester-LogoPlacester, a Boston, MA-based real estate advertising network, raised $5.5m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Romulus Capital, with participation from existing investors Dave Anderson (Kiva, Silverpop), Josh Summers (Clypd, Where.com), David Cohen (Founder of Techstars), Adam Berrey (Curoverse, Brightcove, Allaire) and Angel Street Capital.

Led by Matthew Barba, Co-founder and CEO, Placester is a real estate advertising network that partners with publishers to deliver digital ad products from agents and brokers with a user experience optimized to increase consumer engagement and conversion. In addition to the round, the company also announced a nationwide deal with Hearst Corporation to provide its local newspapers with a white-labeled consumer real estate portal that combines listing data, free-text search technology and a native advertising platform.

To date, Placester has raised a total of $8m in total funding.
