Keona Health, a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based healthcare software startup, recently raised $2.5m in Series A funding.
Backers remained undisclosed.
Led by Oakkar Oakkar, CEO, and Stephen Dean, Chief Operating Officer, Keona Health provides a cloud and web-based Health Advice application that allows patients to go the clinic’s website, patient portal, or call in to complete their health history through an automated interview process.
A nurse then reviews patient complaints and responds back to patients as soon as possible. Finally, all the information is copied into the EHR and routed to the appropriate provider.
Customers include UNC OB/GYN, Tulane University, UNC Student Health, and Chapel Hill Children’s Clinic.
