Cabify, a Madrid, Spain-based on-demand high-end car service, closed an $8m in funding.
The round was led by Seaya Ventures, with participation from undisclosed Latin American backers.
The company intends to use the funds to grow in Latin America.
Co-founded by Juan de Antonio (read my interview with him here ), Sam Lown and Adeyemi Ajao, Cabify develops a web and mobile app that enables users to request a high-end car with chauffeur at affordable rates.
The company currently operates in Madrid, Barcelona, La Coruña, Malaga, Bilbao and Vitoria in Spain, and Lima (Peru), Santiago (Chile) and Mexico City.
It had previously raised $4m in seed funding from Emerge and others.
