3Gear Systems Closes $1.9M Seed Funding

3gear3Gear Systems, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of gesture recognition technology, closed a $1.9m seed funding.

The round was led by K9 Ventures with participation from Intel Capital, CrunchFund and Ovo Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new people (read here) and continue to develop its technology.

Led by Robert Wang, Chris Twigg, and Kenrick Kin, 3Gear is developing a gesture recognition system that will allow users to use hands to control Mac and Windows computers.
