Xstream, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based provider of OTT and TV Everywhere services, received a majority investment from private equity firm Capidea.
The newly appointed chairman of the Board, Lars Torpe Christoffersen, has also invested in Xstream.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the proceeds to further accelerate global growth and bring its video management system, Xstream MediaMaker™, to new markets.
Led by Frank Thorup, CEO, Xstream provides end-to-end video management system for delivery of OTT and TV Everywhere solutions. Its Xstream MediaMaker, offers modules such as Shop and Payment, domain control, assets management and analytics. The company also offer a suite of individual services, including Apps for Connected devices, Ingest, DRM, Transcoding and Encoding.
Customers include companies like Disney, Canal Digital, Telenor, Fuhu, Altibox, SBS Belgium, Pathe, Schibsted, Jyllands-Posten and SES Platform Services.
