According to TechCrunch, Secret, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an app that allows users to post messages to their contacts without attribution, closed a $10m funding round.
The round, which valued the company at $50m post-money, was led by Google Ventures, with participation from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB).
Co-founded by Chrys Bader and David Byttow, Secret provides users with a platform to share what they’re thinking and feeling with friends, anonymously (read how it works here).
Launched at the beginning of 2014, the app is currently available on iOS in the U.S. and Canada.
The company, which had previously raised $1.4m in seed funding in 2013, is hiring.
