According to multiple reports, Risparmio Super, a Milan and Catania, Italy-based online and mobile platform that allows users to compare grocery store prices in real time, raised an additional €500k in funding.
Backers in this third round included existing investor LVenture Group and Filas.
The company had raised $550K in 2011 (read here) and €467k in 2012 (read here).
Co-founded by Barbara Labate and Zion Nahum, Risparmio Super operates a platform to compare grocery store prices, helping consumers save up on their daily shopping, and retailers and brand check competitors prices and shoppers behaviors.
The company currently monitors prices of 16.000 stores in Italy comparing 200 grocery chains and recently launched a mobile app and a partnership with Carrefour for customers to retire bags directly in stores.
