Quipper Raises $5.8M in Funding

Quipper, a London, UK-based learning platform, raised $5.8m in funding.

Backers included Atomico, Benesse Holdings and Globis Capital Partners.

The copmpany intends to use the funds to continue to improve their mobile learning platforms, while expanding globally.

Led by Masa Watanabe, Quipper provides a cloud-based web platform which enables users to create educational content and monitor performance. Its flagship product, Quipper School, allows teachers to set class assignments directly to their students’ computers and mobile devices, as well as assess student performance with analytics.
The company has also been working with Japanese publishing company Benesse to develop a learning service trial for tablets.
