Peek Raises $5M in Second Funding

peekPeek, a San Francisco, CA-based travel activities booking site, raised $5m in a second funding round.

The round, which brought the total amount raised to date to $6.5m, was led by Todd Kimmel from Montage Ventures, with participation from individuals Brad Gerstner (founder of Altimeter Capital) and Jeff Fluhr (co-founder of StubHub and Spreecast). In conjunction with the funding, Kimmel joined Peek’s board.

Launched in 2012 by Ruzwana Bashir and Oskar Bruening, Peek provides a platform for travelers and locals to book travel experiences online via computer, tablet or mobile phone. The company, which is also backed by Eric Schmidt (Innovation Endeavors), Jack Dorsey, David Bonderman, SV Angel and CAA, is also hiring.
