According to a blog post, New York-based Metamorphic Ventures closed its second fund at approximately $70m.
Led by David Hirsh and Marc Michel, the firm will continue to invest in seed stage companies and in portfolio companies’ next round, as well as in new companies after the seed round. Metamorphic focuses on companies at the intersection of digital media and commerce incorporating payments, marketplaces, adtech, software infrastructure, and other internet-enabled businesses.
It has already invested in startups including invested in Indiegogo, Fuze Network, Songza, Localresponse, etc.
As part of the close, Metamorphic added Gokul Rajaram, Mindy Grossman, John McAteer, Rob Master, Jared Grusd,
David Sable, Ran Harnevo, Jim McCann, Brian Lee, Peter Sachse, Robby Stein and Mario Shiliashki to the advisory board.
