Buzzmove, a London, Uk-based startup that provides a comparison site for moving services, secured $650k in seed funding.
Backers included Michael and Simon Blakey at Avonmore Developments, Daniel McPherson and Tom Singh (Founder of New Look) at Launcha.com, Andrew Weizs at Lean Investments and Justin Peters, CEO of Kabbee.
The company intends to use the funds for expansion into the UK market and beyond.
Launched in 2013 by Becky Downing, CEO, Buzzmove is a comparison site for moving services that allows customers to instantly compare certified movers and book online immediately. It is has an excusive partnership with the BAR (British Association of Removers) and has vetted and validated the vendors listed on the platform.
The company recently graduated from Telefónica’s global tech start-up accelerator programme, Wayra, which is based in central London.
Buzzmove has also appointed Charmaine Eggberry, former EMEA Managing Director at BlackBerry and Global Senior Vice President at Nokia, as Non-Executive Director and Chairperson.
