BrightBytes, a San Francisco, CA-based educational analytics company, closed a $15m Series B funding.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) with participation from existing investors Rethink Education and Learn Capital. Previous funders included NewSchools Venture Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth and global expansion.
Led by Rob Mancabelli, co-founder and CEO, and CTO and co-founder Hisham Anwar, BrightBytes provides Clarity, an online data analytics platform used by educators in almost all U.S. states to make effective decisions that improve student learning.
The platform gathers ideas from the best experts in the world and creates evidence-based frameworks that are combined with data from users’ school or region, giving them the tools to understand and improve student learning outcomes.
