Adbrain, a London, UK-based advertising technology company, raised $7.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Octopus Investments with participation from existing investor Notion Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into the US and Europe and add new people to its engineering, big data and artificial intelligence teams.
Led by Gareth Davies, CEO, Adbrain has developed a customisable and intelligent platform for programmatic mobile and multiscreen audience buying. It allows advertisers to crunch their own data with second and third-party data to create custom audience “segments” they can target – while accessing to automated technologies like real-time bidding and programmatic audience buying.
Following the beta launch in February 2014, Annalect (part of Omnicom Media Group Europe), The Exchange Lab, M&C Saatchi Mobile, Fetch and Somo joined the platform.
Adbrain had raised $1.5m from Notion Capital and angels in June 2013 (read here).
