UXPin Raises $1.6M

iconUXPin, a San Francisco, California-based platform that allows companies to collaborate on design across many departments, raised $1.6M in seed funding.

Backers included Andreessen Horowitz, Freestyle Capital, IDG Ventures, Gil Penchina, Innovation Nest, Mansour Salame, Eric Ries, Jeff Huber, Joshua Schachter, and Julia Popowitz.

Founded by CEO Marcin Treder and CMO Mateusz Makosiewicz, UXPin has built a platform for digital designers to simplify their work and make it easier to collaborate with other team members.
The solution features over 900 pre-made UI templates and patterns, custom reusable elements, drag & drop interface, communication tools to chat and comment on the design, and tools to iterate their work. Users can also access their work anywhere they need to perform a presentation and upload documentation with no storage limit.
Customers include Microsoft, Sony, Ogilvy, NBC, USA Today.
