TrekkSoft Raises $800K in Funding

TrekkSoft, an Interlaken, Switzerland- and New York-based provider of online booking and payment solutions for tour providers, raised $800k in funding.

Backers included Redalpine Capital II, the Innovation Fund of the Schwyzer Kantonalbank, Armin Meier, former CEO of Kuoni, Walter Güntensperger, CEO of Active Travel and former CEO of Hotelplan Switzerland, and Adrian Locher, founder and COO of DeinDeal.ch.

Led by cofounder and CEO Jon Fauver, TrekkSoft provides a SaaS online booking and payment solution for operators to promote, manage and sell their tours online, offline and on mobile. The platform is used worldwide by some 300 clients including from one man owner operators to large tour operators offering a diverse range of activities (rafting outfitters, skydiving, pub crawls, gourmet food tours, art gallery tours, multicity journeys, etc.).
The solution is now available in five languages and handles over 8 million CHF in transactions.

The company recently partnered with TripAdvisor to collect reviews for both properties and drive sales for tour and activity providers.
