Tradeshift Closes $75M Series C Funding

tradeshiftTradeshift, a San Francisco, CA-based business-to-business platform, closed a $75m Series C funding.

Singapore’s Scentan Ventures made the investment. In conjunction with the funding, Noriaki Okubo, managing director at Scentan Ventures, joined Tradeshift’s board.

The company will use the capital for global expansion in the US, Europe and now Asia (including opening offices in Tokyo) with investments made to accelerate sales, marketing and applications development.

Led by CEO and Co-founder Christian Lanng, Tradeshift provides a platform for businesses to connect, collaborate and transact. Launched in 2010, it connects 500,000 companies across 190 countries including DHL, the National Health Service (NHS), French Government, CBRE and Vestas Wind Systems.

The company has offices in Copenhagen, London, Suzhou and Tokyo and is backed by Notion Capital, Ru-net, Kite Ventures, Intuit and PayPal.
