Tintri Raises $75M in Series E Funding

tintriTintri, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of storage management technology for virtual machines, raised $75m in Series E funding.

This Pre-IPO round, which brought the total funding to $135m, was led by Insight Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures and New Enterprise Associates. In conjunction with the funding, Jeff Horing of Insight Venture Partners, joined Tintri’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand globally, further scale operations and support its customer base.

Founded in 2008 and led by Ken Klein, chairman and CEO, Tintri provides IT organizations with a platform (Tintri Zero Management Storage™) to eliminate storage complexity and scale their virtualized environments. Its Tintri VMstore™ and Tintri Global Center™ aim to improve performance and make virtualization predictable and scalable.
Customers include AMD, F5 Networks and Kawasaki Motors.
