Square, the San Francisco, CA-based provider of mobile payment solutions, acquired BookFresh, a provider of online scheduling and appointment booking software.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Led by Evan Ginsburg, CEO, and Willem Avé, CTO, San Francisco-based BookFresh offers an online scheduling and appointment booking software for small businesses, which will continue to run following the deal.
Square and BookFresh will operate separately.
Square is backed by Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Citi Ventures, while BookFresh had raised $500k in 2009 from Ron Conway, Baseline Ventures, Hatch Ventures, NBC Universal and SV Angel.
