Remind101 Raises $15M in Series B Funding

remind101Remind101, a San Francisco, CA-based education communication platform, raised $15m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers with participation from existing investors Social+Capital and First Round Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its hiring and product development efforts, adding additional services in the next months.

Founded in 2011 and led by Brett Kopf, CEO, and David Kopf, CTO, Remind101 provides a platform for teachers to freely and safely communicate with students and their parents updating them on important information relating to the classroom and school activities via text or email.
It claims more than 600,000 teachers are using the solution to communicate with more than 10 million students and parents.
