Primekss, a Riga, Latvia-based concrete specialist, raised €10m in funding.
Green Gateway Fund, advised by Wermuth Asset Management, made the investment.
Founded in 1997 and led by CEO Janis Oslejs, Primekss provides PrimeComposite, a patented system for making ecologically friendly concrete elements. It is used to produce concrete floors for civil engineering buildings, water and LNG tanks, and windmills, among other structures.
The company operates in Scandinavia and the Baltic states and licenses its technology across the USA, Belgium, South Africa, Belarus, Russia, Israel, as well as other countries, via a network of specialist contractors.
Clients include IKEA, ProLogis, Volvo and other blue-chip companies.
