Duolingo, a Pittsburgh, PA-based language education platform, raised $20m in funding.
The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
Launched in 2011 by CEO Luis von Ahn, Duolingo is a language learning platform that provides 18 courses providing a free education app (on iTunes and Google Play) to over 10+ million active users.
The company, which is also backed by Union Square, New Enterprise Associates, Ashton Kutcher and Tim Ferriss, is currently hiring.
