CGTrader Receives Investment from Intel Capital

cgtraderCGTrader, a Vilnius, Lithuania-based marketplace for 3-D models and content, received an investment from Intel Capital.

No financial terms were disclosed. Intel Capital’s investment was led by Klaus Konrad and existing backer Practica Capital participated in the round.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of itd digital library, distribution channels and the community.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Marius Kalytis, CGTrader runs a 3-D model marketplace backed by a large community of 3-D designers. With more than 45,000 3-D models on offer, the platform helps designers, makers and 3-D printing enthusiasts buy, sell and discover high-quality 3-D content.
Backed by Lithuanian venture capital fund Practica Capital in early 2013, the company has over 45,000 3D models available for sale or download and unites over 35,000 professional 3D designers in the community.
