bigtincan, a Waltham, MA-based provider of a mobile content enablement solution, raised $5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Southern Cross Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Bill Bartee, serial entrepreneur and managing director of Southern Cross Venture Partners, joined bigtincan’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to increase the adoption of its platform.
Founded in 2011 by David Keane, CEO, bigtincan provides bigtincan hub, a suite of productivity tools that enables users to engage with the right content at the right time in the right location. It also offers intelligent insights around the interaction, utilization and value of content within an organization, while giving control and governance over content usage and sharing.
Enterprise customers include Hologic, Telefonica, Jones Junction and ReachLocal among others across a variety of industries including: government, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail and technology.
