Visually Closes $8.1M Series A Financing

visuallyVisually, a San Francisco, CA-based marketplace for visual content, closed an $8.1m Series A financing.

The round was led by Crosslink Ventures with participation from Correlation Ventures, SoftTechVC, 500 Startups, Giza Ventures, Quest Ventures, and Kapor Capital (Mitch Kapor).

The company intends to use the funds to enter new markets and increase its headcount (read here).

Led by CEO Stew Langille, Visually connects a global supply of experienced designers, analysts, journalists, animators, and developers to brands like AOL, Red Bull, Twitter, NBC, P&G, UNESCO, Visa and Dell to deliver the content they need via Infographics. The platform allows designers to create, explore and share data visualizations, monitor visitors and track content popularity within the community.
