Simple Energy, a Boulder, CO-based provider of software as service digital marketing platform, closed a $6m Series B funding.
The round was led by the Westly Group. In conjunction with the funding, Westly Group’s founder and managing partner Steve Westly will join Simple Energy’s board of directors.
The company will use the funds for development of new products due out in 2014, and expand national reach.
Led by Yoav Lurie, CEO and co-founder, Simple Energy provides utility companies with a digital marketing software as a service platform to engage customers and drive energy savings. The solution normalizes customer’s energy usage, allowing participants to compare with friends, neighbors and colleagues. Customers can also earn points, rewards, and gift cards by saving energy.
