Sentiment Secures £1M in Series A Financing

Sentiment (trading name of Macranet Ltd), a Farnborough, UK-based provider of social intelligence and engagement platform, secured £1m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Elderstreet Investments, with participation from AIM listed technology company Netcall plc. In conjunction with the funding, Elderstreet co-founder and managing director Michael Jackson joined Sentiment’s board of directors as chairman.

The company intends to use the funds to increase investment in its market intelligence and engagement platform, invest in additional sales and marketing resources and expand its global reach.

Founded in 2007 by Leon Chaddock, CEO, Sentiment provides a SaaS platform for teams to analyze, drill down and respond in real-time to critical conversations across Social Media including Facebook and Twitter.
The platform is currently used by 200 companies across the globe including Alitalia, Deutsche Bank, The Environment Agency, PR Newswire and Peer 1 Hosting.
