Guardly Raises $1.45m in Seed Financing

GuardlyLogoGuardly, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of enterprise-grade mobile safety solutions, raised $1.45m in seed financing.

The round was led by Freestyle Capital, with participation from Golden Venture Partners and MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund.

The company intends to use the funds for product development.

Led by Josh Sookman, CEO, Guardly provides real-time mobile and cloud-based employee safety solutions to enterprise organizations, campuses, and cities. The company leverages cloud, mobile, indoor-positioning and real-time technologies to provide clients with an innovative emergency notification, communication and management platform to protect employees. Its Android, iPhone, Windows Phone and BlackBerry mobile security applications broadcast GPS and indoor location, profile and identity, and support two-way communication with security operators and authorities. Security Operations Centers (SOCs) access to a platform for incident monitoring and response.
