Connecticut Bioscience Innovation Fund Calls for Applications

connecticut innovationsThe Connecticut Bioscience Innovation Fund (CBIF), a $200m, 10-year evergreen fund, is calling for applications.

It seeks projects from which the output is readily commercializable and will lead to products or services that will:
– improve healthcare coordination, quality or efficiency;
– reduce healthcare costs; and/or
– increase job growth.

Created in September 2013 and managed by Connecticut Innovations, the fund aims to provide focused financial assistance to startups, early-stage businesses, non-profits and accredited colleges and universities throughout the state.
Applicants must be based in Connecticut and working in bioscience, biomedical engineering, health information management, medical care, medical devices, medical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, personalized medicine or other related disciplines.

Applications can submit multi-year projects (maximum, three years) without exceeding $500k requested funding in the aggregate to cbifapplications(at)ctinnovations(dot)com.
