bookacoach Raises Funding

bookacoachbookacoach, an Indianapolis, IN-based sports lesson marketplace, raised a vc funding.

The round, which brought the total capital raised to $450k, was co-led by Elevate Ventures (through the Indiana Angel Network Fund), along with existing investors based in Washington, DC and Greensboro, NC. In addition, Kelly Schwedland of Elevate Ventures, joined bookacoach’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the service to more coaches and parents nationally and add new features to product.

Led by Kevin MacCauley, CEO, and Myles Grote, Chief Revenue Officer, bookacoach is an online service marketplace for sports lessons in the U.S.
It offers a set of online tools that aims to simplify the booking, scheduling, and athlete feedback development aspects of sports instruction. Instruction ranges from individual lessons to small groups and clinics.
The service is free to coaches while parents pay a booking fee when purchasing instructional sessions.
