Trifacta, a San Francisco, CA-based Data Transformation Platform provider, closed a $12m Series B financing.
The round, which brought the total capital raised to $16.3m, was led by Greylock Partners and Accel Partners.
Developed by computer science professors Joe Hellerstein (CEO and co-founder) of the University of California Berkeley and Jeffrey Heer of the University of Washington along with Stanford University Ph.D. Sean Kandel, Trifacta has created a platform that couples human and machine intelligence to enable users to covert raw data into actionable form for immediate insights and use in analysis tools.
Users can visualize data and the effects of algorithmic suggestions, while machine learning methods analyze data and user interactions.
