According to WWD, Moda Operandi, a NYC-based online luxury fashion retailer, raised $20m in funding.
Backers included existing investors LVMH and Condé Nast.
The company intends to use the funds to expand inventory and to go mobile.
Led by Lauren Santo Domingo, Moda Operandi allows members to pre-order new styles. The company works with top designers to provide fashion trendsetters with access to collections from fine brands and also offers recommendations, access to a personal shopping assistant, and tools to review looks.
It is hiring.
