Grokker Raises $5.5M in Series A Funding

According to AllThingsD, Grokker, a San Jose, CA-based network of online videos from “experts” that target consumers, raised $5.5m in Series A funding.

Backers included Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital‘s Josh Koppelman and angel investor Ron Conway.

Led by Lorna Borenstein, a former eBay and Yahoo executive, Grokker is a video network for experts (grokkers) to reach consumers and their interests.
Members find high quality, expert videos to pursue their hobbies and take their knowledge to a superior level. They can also engage in an active community and access to the platform from any device.
