Benchmark Closes Eight Fund at $425M

According to an SEC filing, it amounts at $425m.

The document lists as people involved in Benchmark Capital Partners VIII, L.P. Matthew Cohler, Peter Fenton, William J. Gurley, Mitchell Lasky and Steven Spurlock.

Founded in 1995, Benchmark is an early stage venture capital firm focusing on social, mobile, and cloud companies the firm has offices in Menlo Park and San Francisco, California. It has invested in more than 250 early stage startups including eBay, Juniper Networks, MySQL, OpenTable, Yelp, Inc., Zillow, Friendster, JAMDAT, Instagram, Hortonworks, Dropbox, Uber, Twitter, Zipcar, Asana, Quora, Gaikai, Demandforce and DOMO.
