HDmessaging Closes $3M in Funding

HDmessagingHDmessaging, a Burlingame, CA-based provider of enhanced mobile messaging solutions, closed $3m in funding.

The round was led by GrandBanks Capital, with participation from IDG Ventures, Nexit Ventures and Lighthouse Capital Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to invest in product development for both its white label messaging and MagicWords platforms, and to grow internationally.

Led by Jonathon Linner, CEO, HDmessaging provides mobile operators with a white label messaging service that provides group conversation, IP-based messaging, media sharing, cross-platform access, SMS compatibility, cloud storage, etc.
The company, which already lists Vodafone, Airtel, Aircel, Singtel, Idea, T-Mobile and Maxis amongst its operator partners, also offers MagicWords, a platform that aims to enhance messaging with contextual links and recommendations based on the content of the conversation and the profiles of the users chatting.

HDmessaging also has offices in Finland, the UK and India.
