BuildDirect.com Technologies Inc., a Vancouver, BC-based online supplier of home improvement products, raised $13m over the past two months.
Backers included Difference Capital Financial Inc. (TSX:DCF), a specialty financial services company, which just made a $5m investment, and a large institutional Canadian investor, which recently provided an $8m financing.
Led by Jeff Booth, President and Chief Executive Officer, BuildDirect enables buyers to purchase heavy home improvement goods directly from manufacturers at prices well below existing channels.
It has 12 warehouse locations across North America.
The fundraising aims to provide the company with flexibility to execute their growth plans.
