The Training Room (TTR), a Poole, Dorset, UK-based provider of vocational training and accreditation for gym instructors and personal trainers, received a £20m investment from LDC.
LDC has invested alongside founder and CEO Jonathan Davies, who will retain a significant shareholding. LDC’s Alastair Weinel and Andrew Sanders will represent LDC on the board.
The company intends to use the funds to grow operations, by introducing new training areas and disciplines into its product offering and expand into international markets.
Established in 2006, TTR operates fitness industry recognised training programs from 16 training academies that are located in key cities across the UK.
The business has more than 100 employees, and annual turnover of nearly £9m and EBITDA of circa £3m. It trained nearly 3,000 people over the last year.
