Prestiamoci Raises €550K in Funding

Prestiamoci, an Ivrea, Torino- and Milan, Italy-based P2P lending platform, raised €550k in funding.

Backers included Digital Magics, which injected €190k acquiring a 25,61% stake in the company, business angels from its network including Marco Valerio Bellini, Johan Bode, Pietro Boroli, Luca Fabio Giacometti, Luigi Lanari, Dario Levi, Giordano Martinelli, Stefano Miccinelli, and Lodovico Rosnati, other private investors, and the founder of Prestiamoci.it Mariano Carozzi.

The company intends to use the funds to strengthen the tech team to further develop the platform.

Led by managing director Michele Novelli, (who is also a new partner of Digital Magics) , President Daniele Loro, and Carozzi, Prestiamoci (Agata S.p.A.) operates a P2P marketplace that connects lenders and private and business borrowers.
According to the web site, the platform, which has received the lending license from Banca d’Italia, has already funded 351 projects.

Beyond the investment, Digital Magics will also offer incubation and business management services.
