PowerbyProxi, an Auckland, New Zealand-based wireless charging startup, received a $4m investment from Samsung Ventures Investment Corporation.
Led by CEO Greg Cross, PowerbyProxi provides a wireless power charging solution that allows consumers to charge smartphones and other mobile devices by placing them on a power pad.
Samsung will also license the company’s technology for use in its consumer electronics and home appliances.
