Oracle Acquires BigMachines for Reportedly $400M

Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) has agreed to acquire BigMachines, a cloud-based Configure, Price & Quote (CPQ) solution provider.

According to Business Insider, the transaction, which is still subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions, amounts to $400m.

Led by David Bonnette, CEO, BigMachines automates the sales order process with guided selling, dynamic pricing, and a workflow approval process, accessible on any device. Its CPQ Cloud is used by 275 organizations of all sizes across a wide range of industries.

The acquisition aims to create an end-to-end smart selling cloud solution for sales personnel in combination with Oracle’s enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including Marketing, Sales, Social, Commerce and Service Clouds.
