OneClass Raises $1.6M in Series A Funding

OneClass, a Toronto, Canada-based educational platform that crowdsources university course content, raised $1.6m in Series A funding.

The round was led by SAIF Partners with participation from existing investors Real Ventures.

Founded in September 2010 by Jack Tai, CEO, the site now covers over 10,000 courses with notes, exam prep videos and common university subject videos from introductory level calculus to 1st-year chemistry.
The company uses its community of students to help produce content and allows subject experts to create videos and other supplementary material for university courses. It is present in over 50 schools across Canada and the US with 200,000 users.

It is hiring.
