Locket Launches My Locket Cares

Locket, the NYC ans San Francisco-based, venture-backed startup, is launching My Locket Cares, a platform allows users to vote for their favorite charities to be selected as donation partners.

To promote the program, users will see a series of ads on their lock screen asking users to share which charities they want Locket to support. By swiping left, users will be taken to the My Locket Cares website to suggest or vote for charities. On November 15th, the top three charities will be selected as Locket partners and under the charity organization’s agreement, users will be able to donate to the charity.

Led by CEO and co-founder Yunha Kim (read my recent interview with her here), Locket has launched what they call “First Glance Advertising” via an Android application that delivers advertising on smartphone lock screens, and rewards users for using their phone.

The startup, which is backed by Great Oaks Venture Capital and three angel investors, is hiring in both NY and SF.
