Fast Drinks Raises €3.5M in Funding

Fast Drinks, a Valladolid, Spain-based manufacturer of a self-heating can, raised €3.5m in funding.

Backers included Seguranza, managed by Clave Mayor, Ade Capital Sodical, managed by Ade Gestión Sodical, Caixa Innvierte Industria, managed by Caixa Capital Risc, and the management team of the company.

The company intends to use the funds to La operación va dirigida a posicionar la empresa como fabricante líder a nivel mundial de envases autocalentables y conseguir ventas de 7 millones de latas en todo el mundo el 2017.

Founded in 2005 and led by Javier Gil, Julián Espegel and Rocío Hervella,  Fast Drinks started with the initial idea of producing a coffee beverage and then went further to develop self-heating containers. After 3 years in R & D, the company is currently selling self-heating beverages in Spain, France, Great Britain, Scandinavia, USA and Japan, via its own brand (2GO, which offers black coffee,cappuccino, chocolate, lemon tea and chicken soup consomme), and others.
