Plaid Raises $2.8M in Funding

According to TechCrunch, Plaid, a San Francisco, CA-based startup a provider of an API for banking data, raised $2.8m in funding.

The round was led by Spark Capital, with participation from Google Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Felicis Ventures, and Homebrew Capital.

Co-founded by Zach Perret Plaid aims to make it easy for developers to build financial applications via an API that offers transaction data such as merchant names, addresses, and geocodes.
The startup, which is currently in private beta, is currently hiring (read here).
