Munchery, a San Fracisco, CA-based startup that operates an online marketplace for home-delivered meals from local professional chefs, raised $4m in series A funding.
Backers included e.ventures, Sherpa Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and Howard Behar.
The company intends to use the funds to hire chefs (read here) and expand the marketplace geographically.
Co-founded in 2010 by Tri Tran and Conrad Chu, Munchery allows customers to order from and receive fresh daily menus handcrafted by chefs.
