JobsTheWord, a Daresbury Science Park, UK-based innovative recruitment business, raised £525k in funding.
The backer was The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand R&D, add new features, and create big data products for other sectors beyond recruiting.
Founded in 2011 by IT specialists Will Crandle and Lee Harding and Keith Jones, JobsTheWord has developed a platform which uses complex algorithms to extract intelligence from online profiles, blogs and websites to help companies identify candidates.
Clients include World Pay, Blackberry, Samsung, Hewlett Packard and Experian.
