ComparaOnline.com, a Latin American online insurance and financial services marketplace, raised $11m in Series B financing.
The round was led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst, Rise Capital and existing investor Kaszek Ventures.
The company intends to use the capital to strengthen its presence in Brazil and Colombia through hiring new people and develop new products and services.
Launched in Chile in 2009 by CEO Sebastian Valin, ComparaOnline enables consumers to find and compare insurance and financial products (auto insurance, travel insurance, consortium finance and credit cards) while helping insurance companies and banks expand their distribution channels.
The Santiago-based company currently has 200 employees and is also present in Brazil and Colombia.
